Jen is a radical shred-lady who runs our girls and women’s programming. She has been in the snowboard game for a long time. Acting as an athlete and as a coach, Jen has been on both sides of the spectrum.
Brendan Grosjean spent several years as an athlete in SK SBD’s programs, including an athlete on the Provincial Team. Over the last few years, Brendan has focused his time on becoming a coach for SK SBD. He’s coached Riders programs, assisted with Provincial Team trips and supported athletes at the 2023 Canada Winter Games in PEI. Aside from continuing to advance his coaching certifications, Brendan is a very talented snowboarder and we are incredibly stoked to have him involved.
Rio Tucker spent several years as an athlete in SK SBD’s programs, including an athlete on the Provincial Team. Over the last few years, Rio has focused his time on becoming a coach for SK SBD. He’s coached Riders programs, and assisted with Provincial Team trips. Rio absolutely rips, and has some impressive artistic talent as shown in the FREEDOM LOVES YOU film he and friends recently produced and shared in October 2023.
Russel is our long standing Provincial Team Coach. He is a fan favourite and crafty fellow. When he’s not chasing your kids down the mountain he can be found in his wood-work shop building custom furniture.
All coaching staff are professionally trained and active members through the Canadian Snowboard Coaching program (CSCP) and the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). All SK SBD coaches recognize the Canadian coaching code of ethics as the foundation for their programs.
